Strategic Account Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Account Manager to work across our audio products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships with clients at a senior level, understanding their business needs, and identifying opportunities to expand our products and services within their organisations. The Strategic Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the key users and functionality of our audio products
  • Understand the business goals and needs of each client and work collaboratively to ensure they are getting the most from our audio products
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new products/services
  • Monitor system usage, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to be used internally
  • Manage annual rate increases and any related negotiations
  • Monitor client spend for our transactional revenue products and adjust commercial strategies when needed
  • Help to set revenue targets at client and product level
  • Refine the ratecards for our transactional revenue products
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to provide insights and recommendations
  • Proactively address any customer issues or escalations to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention rates
  • Regularly attend industry events to cultivate strong relationships with both current and prospective clients
  • Work closely with the CS Manager to gain an understanding of the day-to-day helpdesk operations and work to address any client pain points

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in strategic account management, business development, or sales roles in the advertising industry. Experience in an agency or ad tech environment preferred. Experience in the audio industry preferred

About this Role

As Management Accountant at Adwanted UK, you will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly management accounts and financial reports. You will play a key role in the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timelines of financial data, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making across the business. This role bridges operational finance and strategic planning, requiring a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

We’re an SME and this role does require the individual to do some transactional work, along with traditional Management Accountant responsibilities.

You will report to the UK Financial Controller and work closely with them and the Finance Supervisor, taking ownership of areas not covered by them.

Responsibilities

Month-End and Management Accounts

  • Prepare and produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
  • Post and reconcile month-end journals (e.g. accruals, prepayments, deferred income, payroll, depreciation.
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register and calculate monthly depreciation.
  • Prepare and update cash flow forecasts on a monthly and annual basis.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare the Mediatel Ltd quarterly VAT returns, reconciliation, submissions and payments.
  • Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing schedules.
  • Analyse and report on key metrics including system usage and helpdesk volumes
  • Compile financial data for the preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for the Company accountants.
  • Coordinate the production of P11Ds and PSA submissions with external accountants.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Support the annual budgeting process.
  • Provide quarterly budget updates and variance analysis to Financial Controller, for discussion with budget holders.
  • Monitor and report to the Financial Controller budget vs. actual discrepancies.

Banking

  • Complete monthly reconciliations.
  • Complete purchase payments as and when required.
  • Complete salary roll monthly, following authorisation from the Financial Controller.

Skills & Experience

  • Part-qualified or studying CIMA/ACCA/ACA (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in management accounting within an SME or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Netsuite and Excel required, and familiarity with Sage 200 would be an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-orientated, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with cash flow management.

Qualificaitons

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Working towards a professional accounting qualification e.g. CIMA/ACCA/ACA

Job Overview

The HR & Operations Assistant supports the Head of People in all things People and Operations. The ideal candidates will thrive in a dynamic environment, is passionate about people and also willing to “role up their sleeves” to get things done, whether it is ensuring there is enough coffee or sign-posting employees to sources of support. This role supports all administration of the HR function, helping to streamline operations and ensuring that our HR software is up to date and works hard to support the team. The role also encompasses project management and administration of our B Corp certification, which is lead by our Head of Transformation and involves a 70% contribution from the HR Team.

You will report to the Head of People and work closely with them to support the best possible employee experience.

Responsibilities

HR Support

  • Coordinate recruitment logistics including, but not limited to:
    • Applicant management and initial screening
    • Interview coordination and logistics
    • Onboarding and set-up on HR systems
  • Drafting and maintaining employee correspondence
  • Maintenance of data on HR software and generation of reports for Head of People and team managers.
  • Support training initiatives, doing research and maintaining the training tracker spreadsheet, including costs.
  • Supporting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Supporting Leave administration and reporting.
  • Be the first point of contact for employees on all things HR, escalating as and when appropriate.

Operations Support

  • Manage office supplies, facilities and vendor relationships (in conjunction with the Finance team).
  • Work with the Social & Charity Committee to organise events and fundraising opportunities, working with our “charity of the year”.
  • Support social activities including ordering breakfast/lunch/evening food and drink supplies and helping to arrange these for employee consumption.
  • Be the “go-to” person when things go wrong in the office and be prepared to be tenacious in getting things fixed.
  • Liaise with all departments and external partners to ensure the smooth running of the office.

B Corp Project Management

  • Lead the administration and tracking of B Corp responsibilities and keep a timeline of when elements of the re-appraisal project need to be completed.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to meet B Corp standards, chasing contributors in a timely manner.
  • Maintain documentation and evidence for the B Corp Impact Assessment (BIA).
  • Monitor progress against improvement goals and timelines.
  • Stay up to date with B Lab updates and best practice and advise Head of People or requirements in a timely manner.

Key Skills

  • 2 plus years of HR, Administration or Operations experience, with a desire to be involved in all 3.
  • Strong organisational skills with a desire to learn project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, and understand which information needs to remain confidential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tools (e.g. Jira; YouTrack; HubSpot; Click-Up; Monday etc)
  • Passion for sustainability, social impact and ethical business practices, in line with B Corp.
  • Proficiency in HR software is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail for accurate data entry and record management.
  • Familiarity with social media management for recruitment purposes

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Level 5 qualifications e.g. HND, Level 5 NVQ or higher or you have completed an HR related apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience in HR would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Someone wishing to develop a career in HR is essential, with the potential to study for the CIPD.
  • This is a combined role, so experience of getting involved in “all things office” is necessary.
