Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Account Manager to work across our audio products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships with clients at a senior level, understanding their business needs, and identifying opportunities to expand our products and services within their organisations. The Strategic Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the key users and functionality of our audio products
- Understand the business goals and needs of each client and work collaboratively to ensure they are getting the most from our audio products
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new products/services
- Monitor system usage, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to be used internally
- Manage annual rate increases and any related negotiations
- Monitor client spend for our transactional revenue products and adjust commercial strategies when needed
- Help to set revenue targets at client and product level
- Refine the ratecards for our transactional revenue products
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to provide insights and recommendations
- Proactively address any customer issues or escalations to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention rates
- Regularly attend industry events to cultivate strong relationships with both current and prospective clients
- Work closely with the CS Manager to gain an understanding of the day-to-day helpdesk operations and work to address any client pain points
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in strategic account management, business development, or sales roles in the advertising industry. Experience in an agency or ad tech environment preferred. Experience in the audio industry preferred
- Friendly and outgoing with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service abilities
- Proven ability to build trusted client relationships with stakeholders at all levels within an organisation
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights

AudioTrack is a joint venture between Adwanted UK and Peach. Adwanted UK’s expertise in audio advertising, trading and copy distribution has been established over 3 decades. Launched in 2016, AudioTrack is the dedicated audio distribution service and powered by J-ET, the radio industry's trading system, launched in 2001. AudioTrack ensures the successful delivery of audio ads to all the radio stations and audio platforms that need it. AudioTrack reduces administration and drives efficiencies, supported by unrivalled client servicing from our fantastic, expert team. In 2023 Digital AudioTrack was launched to deliver audio to all digital platforms exactly when, where and how needed, via VAST technology. Our complimentary service, and newest product – AudioLab - offers unprecedented controls for the media buyer and/or their clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Day to day support of J-ET and AudioTrack helpdesks, ensuring that all helpdesk calls and incoming emails are acted upon in a timely manner for AT and Copy+, mtinfo updated with relevant details and communicating feedback to team.
- Liaising with media and creative agencies, sales houses, media owners & broadcasters. incorporating all aspects of client servicing – including setting up and training new companies and users. Building and maintaining excellent relationships with all contacts across J-ET and AT.
- Back-up responsibility for playout process including QCing, checking audio has been successfully sent, troubleshooting when needed, and recording invoice info.
- Support team in maintaining and improving database accuracy alongside the team. Assist with data checks and sending of regular client reports when needed.
- Back-up responsibility for AT team for administration of creative, production house and delivery point contact management, dealing with all change requests, email bounce backs and DP changes and new DPs and PHs using AT front-end and SQL where necessary.
- Support the weekly log loading process, dealing with issues, managing CIs or any extra processing. Continue to look at ways in which to improve efficiencies. Ensure that relevant communications are sent out e.g. Sales Point Logs Checks.
- To provide J-ET training sessions for users and ensure that all relevant training material is kept updated
- Presenting AT demonstrations and AT training sessions as and when required alongside other CS team members.
- Support manager with identifying and targeting new business opportunities for J-ET and AT in order to meet targets set.
- Liaise with Sales Ledger Clerk, to raise, process and check AT related invoices on a weekly basis ensuring is correct and up to date and invoiced to clients on a timely basis.
- Contribute to the specification, design and testing for J-ET and AT new product development and enhancements.
- Analyse ways in which to further improve day-to-day working processes.
- Feedback information to J-ET/AT development team regarding potential improvements and developments for the system.
- Update Egg with any changes or additions to J-ET, Copy+ and AT Contacts.
- Update mtinfo with all client comms.d.
What you will have
- You will be a confident and outgoing individual, who presents both themself and concepts and ideas well, with previous experience of presenting to others.
- Numerate with an ability to analyse and interpret data and understand audience measurement calculations.
- A love all things software and systems and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly, and able to demonstrate that.
- Previous experience of working with business clients, and strong communications skills, both verbal and written are a must.
- Excellent attention to detail, is essential – along with the ability to prioritise and problem solve.
- An excellent attitude to working as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the media industry and the data that is used by advertisers, brands and media planners/buyers would be advantageous.
- Experience of Hubspot CRM and Sales tools would be helpful, but not essential.
- Educated to a minimum of Level 3 qualifications (e.g. A Levels) is required with GCSEs in Maths and English at grade B/6 and above. Degree in an appropriate subject would be an advantage.

About the Role
This Client Service Apprentice position is an excellent opportunity for a bright, analytical and numerical Client Service Apprentice to support the busy audio help desk team on all aspects of the systems. J-ET, AudioTrack and the support team are highly regarded by our clients, many of whom use the help desk service on a daily basis. If you are a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for technology, we would love you to join our hardworking, dedicated and lively team.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn J-ET, AudioTrack and our other audio products comprehensively.
- Day to day support of the audio helpdesk. Ensuring that all helpdesk calls and incoming emails are acted upon in a timely manner.
- Develop, grow and maintain strong working relationships with all clients.
- Maintain the internal client management system and log all helpdesk calls and emails.
- Share your ideas and proactively contribute to marketing and client communications.
- Analyse and report on key metrics including system usage and helpdesk volumes.
- Provide audio delivery quotes and quality check audio adverts, destined for radio stations and digital audio platforms.
- Accurately raise and record invoices.
- Load weekly and ad-hoc data files provided by radio stations using automated processes, troubleshoot where the files contain incorrect data and liaise with the stations to provide new files.
- Be involved in the testing of new product developments and enhancements.
- Support the team in maintaining the audio databases.
- Replicate customer-reported issues, capturing and recording necessary information.
- Identify and escalate priority issues.
- Report software bugs/faults, liaise with developers and conduct testing to ensure these are resolved.
Career Progression
- Potential career progression includes developing both your client and software support skills. With opportunities to progress into more senior client service roles that include account management, user training and client onboarding. Alternatively you might focus on software support and data skills and progress into a more data focused role, learning SQL and API skills. Or perhaps a more creative system design role.
