Overview

A contract role to define the scope and project manage work for the following projects:

  • More closely integrate our media research, analysis and planning tool, Adwanted Connected, with our publishing platform, The Media Leader.
  • Make The Media Leader readers register to be able to access additional content and functionality, and for Adwanted to be able to learn more about our readers.
  • Develop a new dashboard homepage for Adwanted Connected, a variation of which can be deployed to TML, which draws on the above integration.
  • The Media Leader redesign & give editors greater control over the template/layout.
  • Explore possible future projects e.g. to combine the platform running the France edition of The Media Leader with the UK/USA editions; to accept micro-payments for premium content.

This role is internal client-facing and includes business analysis, requirements specification and project management. This role will also involve working with an outsourced development team.

We practise Agile project delivery, and this role involves working with existing processes and systems.

Your Role

Project Management

Working with the Product Owners and Technical teams, internally and outsourced:

  • Shape projects (consider priorities/phasing/agile structure/commercial constraints).
  • Manage delivery of projects,communicating effectively with the customer (consider non-development aspects such as marketing needs data release schedules etc).
  • Co-ordinate and contribute to software testing.
  • Manage risk.
  • Contribute to the regular review and prioritisation of incoming projects / individual bug-reports raised.

Business Analysis

Working as part of an agile development team (receiving and offering support to other team members).

  • Capture and analyse needs of internal customers.
  • Help them understand what is possible
  • Document requirements
  • Working with the developers, define solutions (in terms of user behaviour) which meet the needs of the customer.

Support and Reporting

  • Pitch solutions to internal customers.
  • Be a point of contact for internal stakeholders during initial roll-out of new solutions
  • Be the main point of liaison with external contract technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Day to day support of the J-ET helpdesk. Ensuring that all helpdesk calls and incoming emails are acted upon in a timely manner.

The Role

Reporting directly to the managing director, the event director has ultimate responsibility for the growth of Adwanted Events, working with all departments (sales, content, publishing, marketing and operations) From product conception through to delivery, as well as working closely with the commercial team to maximise revenues. A passionate leader, the individual will also be the key project manager and act as the glue between the departments to ensure objectives are aligned and delivering value to both events and The UK media industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the profit and loss performance week to week for Adwanted Events and report back on result in a weekly monthly management team meeting

  • Produce and communicate to the business a coherent strategy and vision for Adwanted Events

About the Role

This role is helping to develop and deliver our premium B2B conferences to the high standard that our clients have come to expect. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking with previous events operations experience who want to step up to the next level.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Events Director to make sure we are on track to deliver the event
  • Cost management responsibility - managing the day to day budget and event costs, which will be overseen by the Event Director
  • Help to schedule and organise both digital, hybrid and in-person events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, and budget)
  • With the Event Director, research venues, suppliers, and contractors, and help to negotiate deals within the Event team budget.
  • As part of the team, help to manage and coordinate suppliers and event logistics (venue, catering, AV, branding, photographer, videographer, etc)
  • Inform, in a timely fashion, commercial, marketing, design, and content teams to ensure the smooth running of all events
  • As part of the team, help to manage all pre-event planning, speaker organisation and delegate logistics
  • Liaise with sponsors and external clients to successfully deliver event requirements
  • Prepare event documents (with others), e.g., delegate lists, running orders, name badges and signage for the events
  • Preparing and manage the event onsite from start to end, coordinating suppliers, speakers, and staff to ensure that all runs smoothly

About You

  • Previous industry experience with knowledge and understanding of event logistics and management of events
  • At least 18 months to 2 years’ experience in a previous events role
  • Flexibility to work to Events schedule including early mornings and late evenings as required
  • A creative, solution focused individual with the ability to work collaboratively and on own initiative, and think outside the box to deliver exceptional experiences
  • Willing to suggest new ways of working which improve the efficiency of the process and reduce the work of the team.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
